Here is a good service from OpenDNS.org that will automatically manage your internet access by blocking 'bad' sites. I am using this service from last 5 years and very happy.
They can free and paid ($19.00/year) options, i am using free and it is more than enough for me.
for free there are two options
Classic : you manage the settings
Family Shield : It comes pre-configured to block all the bad (adult) sites.
give it a shot, its very simple to setup and use.
I recommend you setup at the router level rather than for each device. This way not matter which device (IPad, Tablet, PC, MAC, Smart Phone, Kindle, SmartTV) you'll be protected.
