I know this is not my normal posting but this one is worth sharing experience. My kids were performing in one of the Indian Classical Dance Kuchupudi at Marlboro Middle School,NJ. This was part of Bhakta Prahalada Dance Ballet.

Here is what exactly happened...
0 Announcer: more than her announcements i hated her singing... Please we did not come to hear you sing.
1st dance: Light guy was having too much fun with lights, fog machine and messed up the whole scene.
2nd dance: Audio CD messed up so dance was stopped in between. kids were standing on the stage not knowing what to do. They had to re-perform once backup cd was found. lucky to have a backup cd.
3rd Performance (Singing) : Kids did excellent job but audience were interrupted by the teacher's cat walk for most of the time.
4th Part : Out great sponsors introduction.. apparently everyone was on back stage but were shy to come from for almost 5 mins. followed by one of the guy begging for votes.
5th Part: Return of the Lighting Guy... he apparently wakes up and start playing with his toy. It felt like a banana in monkey's hand. he was having way too much fun.
6th Part: Show gets postponed for few minutes because one of the sponsorer (Part 4 above) who was late had just arrived, introducing him was a higer priority.
7th Part: Lighting guy get into action again and we walked out and reached home safely.
I really have to find who this lighting guy is... will let you know once i get his details.
Moral of the story: One or Two Joker(s) is enough to messup 100 people hard work.
