Pico Projector from Brookstore.
I got this project to setup a mobile entertainment center. This costs about $300/-. its bit expensive but for the quality and features it might be worth it when comparing with similar products.
Here are some of the pros and cons of this device.
Pros:
1. Its very small so carrying it around is easy.
2. its 85 lumen output is quiet powerful for its size. the video is visible in day light but you can really enjoy in dark.
3. It comes with rechargeable battery which makes it more portable and mobile. the battery should be good for a 2 hours video (assuming you do not use the battery to charge other devices).
4. There is a usb port that acts like a charger. you can pretty much use this as battery backup for your phone.
5. It has built in speaker, speaker output is not fancy but manageable if you dont have any external speakers around.Comes with audio out in case you want to connect to external speaker.
6. Comes with basic cables and adapters like Power (110-220), adapter pin that works in US and Aisa. It also includes regular,mini and micro HDMI cable/adapters.
Cons:
1. It has only 1 HDMI output port, that mean you can only use this device with source that supports HDMI.
2. If your phone has HDMI, you are all set, else you’ll have to buy a MHL adapter (about $30) for android and Apple Digital AV adapter for IOS devices.
3. This does not replace a TV. This is a projector so can only be used as a projector (needs dark room).
4. Built in audio quality is ok not too fancy. You’ll need external speaker to enjoy.
Conclusion:
Overall i would say it is worth it (as of 08/27/2013). but if you can wait then may be a better version would come out.
